Generally speaking, girlfriends don't just decide to break up with their boyfriends for no reason. I know that women sometimes may not be the easiest creatures to understand, and some decisions may not make sense to the male mind, but it's actually pretty rare that a woman does anything without reason...and when it comes to breaking up with you that reason is likely something you did or didn't do. Luckily for you, I'm here to help you figure out what it was you did or didn't do, and possibly even fix it and get her back.

There are quite a few things that make girls itch for the door, but the majority of most cases fall into one of three particular situations. On the off-chance that your girlfriend didn't TELL you why she was leaving, I've taken the liberty of describing these top 3 reasons in the hopes that you may learn something and end up able to salvage your relationship.

1) Chances are good you already know this and what a STUPID idea it is, but generally women don't take kindly to people cheating on them. It's just common sense, but I swear some of us were born without even that much common sense, because guys and girls continue to cheat on each other and destroy their relationships.

If this is the case for you, I can't say that I have a whole lot of sympathy for you, but I suppose even really stupid things can be done by mistake. I'm sorry to say though that a relationship shattered by a cheating partner is probably the hardest to heal. A lot of trust gets broken, and your girlfriend probably won't just be heartbroken but also really kind of hate you. Getting over that's going to be pretty hard.

2) A fairly common problem that causes women to leave their guys is when the man just can't seem to quite meet the emotional needs of the woman. Women need to feel like they're really loved, like their feelings matter to their guys. This is really important, and if a woman isn't getting the emotional companionship she needs from a relationship she may have no choice but to seek it elsewhere.

If your girlfriend broke up with you for this reason, it's a bit easier to remedy than if you had done the big no-no with another woman. A lot easier, in fact. This is a problem you can address within yourself by paying more attention to the girl, and really showing how much you care about what she has to say. Every girl is a little different, but if you really pay attention to her she usually gives you all the info you need to make her happy.

3) The last thing I'm going to cover today is really a problem that both guys and girls can have in a relationship, and that's when things end up slowing down and getting kind of boring. If there's not a whole lot of fun in the relationship anymore and the spontaneity is all drained out...things can kind of fade out. I'm not saying there's no love anymore, but when there's almost nothing BUT what you feel inside...sometimes it's not enough.

This is really the most tragic way for a relationship to die out. I mean, letting things get so stale with the one you love that love doesn't cut it anymore is just inexcusable. You can find things to do with her that are fun and spontaneous, I have faith in you. When the fun goes out of being with the one you love, it's just not right. Have FUN with her! Enjoy your love together, it's just wrong to let it get stale.

These are only a few of the top reasons why most relationships fail...there are a lot more, but to list everything that's ever caused a relationship problem would be written in volumes, not paragraphs.
